John & Bron Fergusson Profiles
John Fergusson is English, born in 1947 of farming background, and was saved in 1979 through reading 'Dear & Glorious Physician' by Taylor Caldwell (a historical novel of Luke)!
His wife, Bron, from Hawera, New Zealand, came to the Lord a few weeks later and they joined a local evangelical fellowship. In 1984 John went to the opening of Reinhard Bonnke's big tent in Soweto, RSA, and was baptised in the Holy Spirit there. Soon afterwards they began home groups and Bible weekends where several found Jesus. In 1990 they sold their farm to become full-time Crusade Directors for Christ for all Nations, Bonnke’s ministry, preparing crusades in South America, Asia and the Caribbean. During that time John has had many opportunities to preach and teach in many of the largest churches in those nations. John first went to India in 1994, where he helped to prepare 7 major events for Bonnke, and has now visited that country over 40 times!
They left full-time crusade directing in 1997 to concentrate more on preaching. In the last seven years they have led their local Charismatic Baptist Fellowship, begun a charity, Child-Link, to support an orphanage in South India; In UK they established outreach meetings in Salisbury, and coordinated the local pastors’ network. John has preached in healing crusades to crowds up to 20,000, and has seen many thousands coming to Christ and healed, by God's grace. Bron led worship for many years before they moved to New Zealand in July 2005. They have just returned from Rwanda where they helped coordinate the Hope:Rwanda vision.
JF Ministries became a charity in 2003, and the same year launched the Schools of Healing which have now trained over 10,000 delegates. Many miracles have taken place.
John has written several books and booklets, including 'Holy Fire' - a study on fire in Scripture, and follow up booklets for use both in crusades and personal evangelism entitled ‘So What Happened?’ and ‘So What Next?’.
John & Bron have no children, and when they have the time, they enjoy travelling, reading, wildlife and gardening. They are currently members of Christian Life Centre, Auckland.
