John & Bron Fergusson
John Fergusson was born in 1947 into a farming family near Salisbury, Wiltshire, UK. He was educated at Marlborough College and Reading University, where he gained an Honours degree in Agriculture.
After three years working for the New Zealand government, he returned to run the family farm for 17 years. During this time he met his New Zealand wife, Bron.
They became Christians in 1979, through the influence of his brother Robert, an associate pastor of Hillsong Church, Sydney. John was baptised in the Holy Spirit in 1984 in the big tent of German evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke in Soweto, South Africa. Immediately they began to run home groups and Bible weekends, and several came to the Lord in their home.
By 1990, the Lord called them to sell the farm, and move into full-time ministry. From 1990 – 1997 they worked as international crusade directors for Bonnke’s team, Christ for all Nations (CfaN), organising crusades and ministering around the world.
In 1997 they left CfaN, to pastor their local church for two years. At the same time they established and ran a charity, Child-Link International Aid Foundation , that now supports 1,000 orphans in India & China.
They also coordinated the local pastors’ network, and established their own ministry, JF Ministries to lead healing and outreach meetings around the world. They began regular outreach meetings in Salisbury, in which Bron led the worship, and where many were healed.
In 2003 John began to teach Schools of Healing, to encourage the ‘ordinary’ believer to pray for the sick. Over 10,000 have been trained in these schools around the world, and thousands more healed including some wonderful miracles under the hands of complete beginners!
In July 2005, John & Bron moved their home to Auckland, New Zealand and now worship at LIFE (formerly Christian Life Centre), Auckland. In 2006 they spent 6 months in Rwanda assisting in the organisation Hope:Rwanda.
John has written and published several books and booklets, including Holy Fire, School of Healing Manual, Flies in a Window, So what happened? and So what next? He has also edited and assisted in the writing of several other successful books, magazines and newsletters, and is currently working on a book on authority.
John has preached in crusades all over the world, but especially in India, during which tens of thousands have been saved. Today John is a lecturer at LIFE Leadership College, Mangere, and still travels extensively teaching on healing and evangelism.
John & Bron have no children. They live outside Auckland, and enjoy gardening, reading, and wildlife.
