Preaching the good news and healing the sick
in New Zealand, Nepal and the world
June 2010 Report - Urgency of the gospel
God has been speaking to me again about the urgency of evangelism. Life’s default destination is hell. Getting off the hell-bound bus is as simple as accepting Christ, but people MUST KNOW! I have been thrilled recently to hear of courageous evangelists winning the lost in remote corners of Pakistan, Sudan, the Middle East, Vietnam, Myanmar – the list goes on. But equally we must reach our neighbours. The woman of Sychar brought her village to Jesus after just a few minutes with him. She left her water jar behind… Why?
I have had the opportunity recently of teaching for a whole week on evangelism and healing. We sent out teams Treasure Hunting, and several came to Christ. More importantly, those who took part are now fired up, and going out every week to win their neighbours. It can be done – it just requires us to trouble ourselves. That is why we are here. No one else will do it! The angel couldn’t share the gospel with Cornelius because the angel didn’t have the authority – he had to send for Peter.
I pray that this week God will stir your heart, and you will have an opportunity to witness to your neighbours. And lead at least one to Jesus!
The Lord is continuing to press us over Nepal. I sense the urgency in the Spirit is increasing. How long will the doors remain open? Come and help us!
We will be going back in October/November this year to hold two or three more Schools of Healing. We plan to visit Ilam, the tea-growing area in the far East of the country, that I visited last year. They are faith-filled people hungry for training, and the need is great.
Then we will probably be travelling right across the country to Tikapur in the Far West, where we have had another urgent invitation. A further School is probable, to squeeze in three in two weeks. The Lord is also speaking to me about a wider strategy – please pray that he crystallises ideas into his concrete plans.
These trips are life-changing. Do consider joining us on one.
Twelve boxes arrived, and already we only have five left in our garage! As soon as he saw them, one person said, ‘I want to give 250 to our church!’ Others have also been buying them in quantity, and so far all the feedback we have had has been 100% positive. They are really nicely presented and would make wonderful gifts.
I can at last see the finishing line! Two chapters to go, revision and we’re done. Last month I shared some of what the Lord has been showing me with a group of people who exclaimed, ‘We can’t wait for the book to come out!’ So I thought I’d pin one of the chapters to the website so you can have a sneak preview! This is still in its raw state but it will give you a flavour of what I have been doing for four years.

Misty Ilam tea garden. Ilam is the centre of a large mountainous region that is very much in need of the gospel.
In this Buddhist dominated area miracles of healing are a key way to opening people’s heart
