Over 150 gathered for the two days, and they were remarkable in the way that the Lord built us together as a team. By the end we felt that we had known each other for years. God moved powerfully in prophetic words, and many were encouraged ‘in the deep places’ where they really needed to hear from God.
We also saw many remarkable healings and miracles (see testimony of Euan Davidson). One of the most notable occurred at the end of the session on Friday night. I had explained that one of the great secrets of developing faith is to ‘put yourself where you need God.’ A classic example in Scripture is Luke 6:8, where Jesus says to the man with the withered hand, ‘Get up, and stand in front of everyone.’ Now the man, hand still withered, is standing before a sceptical crowd. Now Jesus needs the Father! If nothing happens now, his ministry is busted. But of course, he knows that the Father never fails him, and won’t fail him now. So to demonstrate this, I invited anyone in pain to come to the front.

It was always going to be a great weekend, because I had struggled hard to put together the material, much of it new. Sometimes it just flows, and at others each thought and word transcribed is like extracting teeth.
We were exploring the mysteries of healing, because God had spoken to me awhile ago, that healing is a greater mystery than I would ever know. All of us feel frustrated with those to whom healing seems slow to come, or not at all. If God is the healer (the ONLY healer), and Jesus has already paid for our healing (by his wounds), then surely everyone who comes to him should be healed?
But it isn’t so, and we struggle with our ignorance, our little but hopefully growing faith, and our frustrations. We learn. And I developed a very sore throat two days before the event… I began by saying that you cannot have a victory without a battle!

One lady came forward with pain her tailbone she had had for years. I ministered to here, but the pain didn’t leave. I tried some more things, but little result. I sat her down and stood her up – the pain was less, but still there. Then I had a word of knowledge, and asked her, ‘Did you fall off a horse when you were a child?’ ‘I’m not sure,’ she replied, ‘possibly.’ Hmm. More ministry, and the pain receded a little more. This was turning into quite a struggle!
Meanwhile, when I gave the word of knowledge, another lady in the crowd felt faith drop into her spirit. She had exactly the same condition, and she HAD fallen from a horse! As soon as she heard the word ‘horse’, she knew she was healed! Later she testified, and today I received an email saying that she is still pain-free! Read the story in her own words
