What is a School of Healing?
I have become fully convinced that the command of Jesus to his disciples to 'heal the sick' applies equally to every believer today, and that ministering healing to each other should therefore be a regular part of the experience of every Christian. It should be totally normal! I therefore have a passion to spread this word and teach it wherever I can.
The School is not a theological treatise on all aspects of divine healing (I am no expert!), but a simple practical encouragement to get started. During the course we lay hands on each other, and whenever we have done this, people have been healed. We expect the same to happen in every School, because God is faithful!
Altogether we have trained over 10,000 people in Schools in India and around the world. We have seen some dramatic miracles under the hands of total 'beginners', including the deaf hearing, blind seeing, cripples walking, and demons cast out. One man was healed instantly of a leg withered since birth. The man praying for him had never prayed for the sick before! In another event, a mother was healed by her 7-year-old daughter (see Malaysia report).
The School is highly flexible. It is normally held over 2 or 3 mornings, comprising 6 to 8 sessions, but can be as little as a single session, or 8 x 1 hour seminars.
A typical programme might be:
Day 1 am: 3 teaching sessions; Day 2 am: 2 - 3 teaching sessions + practice.
Day 3 am: commissioning session; 2 hours on the streets & report back.
But we stress that this can be changed to suit your situation.
A Manual (workbook) accompanies the course and is available in several languages, though is not essential. With enough notice, we can arrange to translate and print in other languages. For further details, see Schools coming up.
