New Christian?
Peggy Molloy came to Kenya in Oct 2008 as part of the NZ team of GFM, the ministry of Rodney Francis. She emailed us a few weeks after her return:
Peggy Molloy (left) in Nairobi, Kenya
I've been intending sending a note to you to share what has been happening in my life recently....Since the GFM Conference and your teaching John that I have been 'absorbing' since then both on our trip and then at Westside a couple of weeks ago. I've been increasingly convinced of my authority in Christ and the fact of addressing the sickness or whatever is needed to be prayed for.
Before we went away I had a phone call from a friend who had been diagnosed with cancer and it was necessary for her to have an operation straight away and so
I prayed with the authority I have and addressed the cancer in a very simple prayer and Robin (my friend) had the operation and is recovering O.K. She phoned me about 10 days ago and said that when she went back to the specialist that the test showed that it wasn't cancerous....but he said that it definitely was at the time before she had the operation.... I was most encouraged by that and so a couple of days after that I had a few ladies come to my home (we meet once a fortnight to have talk time and prayer for one another etc. and one of the ladies arrived and said her back was very sore and would we pray for her. Again I exercised that authority and addressed the pain etc. very simply and then one of the other ladies said she would like prayer for her back too. So, once again prayed simply. Before she left the first one said the pain had gone so that was encouraging.
Then I had a text from her that night to say the pain had returned and could I pray. Thought about it and phoned her and said that I thought she should take authority herself and she said "I never thought of that and I'll do it" Next afternoon I had a phone call from her to say her back was fine and she had mowed the lawns as well. A few minutes later I received text from the second lady to say her back was fine and also her ankles that we had prayed about too were much better. Her comment was "Your're onto it...Keep it up"
So I'm very keen to "keep it up" and want to say thank you for your encouragement and teaching and also "keep it up" as I'm sure you will do anyway
Go, Peggy!
