My name is Cesare Salemi, I am a college student at Hillsong International Leadership College. Last year when you came and taught us I was incredibly impacted! In your class, you asked us to pray for healing for whoever was sick. I prayed for a fellow college student who had a sore back for several years. It was amazing, as I laid hands on him and prayed, I felt the power of God run through my body but I discerned a blockage and I felt the Holy Spirit say to ask him how long and when did that happen. I also felt the Holy Spirit say that there was guilt attached to the pain. completely left him and he was healed. It was magnificent!
I was so inspired when I got home that night I told my wife and then felt the Holy Spirit nudge me to pray for my wife to be set free of her nicotine addiction! She had smoked 15 cigarettes a day for 22 years, even when she was pregnant…this seemed like a bondage that would never go away. I said to my wife, "I believe you are going to be delivered from your smoking addiction tonight in Jesus’ Name!" Before I could finish the sentence, she said "AMEN!" I was taken aback! I laid hands on her then I felt the Holy Spirit say that she had to repent for living with anxiety. She looked confused but then she did it and after that I prayed that she would be healed. Now more than 1 year on she hasn't touched a cigarette. She didn't even feel any withdrawal symptoms! She said it was like a program on a computer that just got deleted, in her mind. Her testimony has spoken volumes to everyone who knows her because they all knew how addicted she was.
This miracle that happened with my wife was the most amazing moment in our lives up to that point (besides salvation). In the last year, I have seen people be healed of asthma, multiple sclerosis, addictions, multiple
personality disorders, sleep deprivation, and emotional problems.
My own mother has suffered from depression and has been on anti-depressants for over 32 years. She has had several major nervous breakdowns. After a special family communion when we prayed for my parents and anointed them with oil, 2 weeks later my Mother rang saying she felt 'evil' in her heart and wanted it out straight away. We went and prayed together. I discerned a demonic presence and rebuked it in the name of Jesus. She started to shake uncontrollably until it left her.
The presence of God was thick in the room. I felt a nudging to ask the Lord to fill her with His Spirit and almost straight away, she was speaking in tongues! My wife and I were hugging and in tears as we watched my Mother being set free. From that day on she was healed of depression and hasn't taken an anti-depressant tablet in over 6 months now. She has lost over 25 kgs! The doctors examined her and she is clear of everything. In fact the blood test reveals she no longer has high cholesterol or diabetes! God has completely healed her! She is now a walking testimony of God’s grace. It is truly amazing!
