In the middle of 2004 l started to have palpitations in my heart and after seeing
my G.P. who then referred me to a heart specialist, it was confirmed that l did have
a mild heart problem, which at that time required no treatment but regular monitoring.
During
2005 the problem in my heart began to increase when l started to get consistently
breathless with angina symptoms in my chest around my heart region.
Towards the end of August 2005 l was admitted into hospital on several occasions with these symptoms and after 2 or 3 days was later released after the symptoms settled down. It wasn’t until l had been in hospital several times that the problem that l had with my heart was correctly diagnosed. The condition was called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, which in layman’s terms is a disease in the wall of the heart. This increased with either physical or mental activity and in turn affects the timing and function of the working of the heart.
In April 2006 l had the first of two operations, one to relieve the problem,followed by the fitting of a pacemaker towards the end of the month because it was found that l had a first degree heart block.
During this time of being in and out of hospital l had much prayer and it wasn’t until just prior to going into the operating theatre for my first operation that the Lord spoke to me from Mark 4:35-41 with particular emphasis on verse 35 where he said to me that the most important part of this story is not so much that He rebuked the wind but He said to the disciples, "Let us go to the other side", for we are all on a journey and He will take you and me there.

Healed of heart condition, in Auckland, New Zealand, on 26 April, 2011
For the last five years l have had symptoms similar to what l was getting prior to the operations, and l was having to pace myself in regards to what mental or physical activity that l could do. l couldn’t for instance walk for more than an hour without getting completely fatigued.
In April 2011 l received prayer from John & Bronwyn and just knew that the Lord had completely healed me, as l had a real deep sense of His presence and His peace, so much so that the following day l walked for nearly 3 hours without any ill effects and have had none since.
At the beginning of May l had an angiogram so they could check me out, followed by a respiratory lung function test. Both were completely clear. l am now completely free from all symptoms of heart and lung problems and know that l am healed. Praise the Lord that He has taken me to the other side regarding my healing.
